Does YOUR neighborhood have a meth lab?  Have you ever noticed any of the tell-tale signs?

Do you even know what to look for?  You do realize that a meth lab can be disruptive, even dangerous, in your neighborhood, right?

RIGHT??!??!?

You…in the back…PAY ATTENTION! This is important information you need to know if you care about where you live!

As shown in the picture above, just driving through your neighborhood might not give obvious clues to a meth lab being in the house, but there ARE signs to look for…

Often there are what looks like chemical stains in the yard from the waste of a meth lab.  A meth lab produces a LOT of waste…

Most of the time, you’re never gonna get to see the inside of the house with a meth lab.  However, on rare occasions you may get a chance to peek inside.

All right smart aleck, that does not make me a peeking-Tom….

… My name is Bob not Tom.

If you do get a look inside you will probably see the same kind of stains on the floor that you saw in the yard.  Remember, meth labs create lots of stains.

No "Good Housekeeping" seal of approval here...

Also, if you look around you will probably see a very untidy house.  A meth lab takes a lot of attention, and doesn’t leave much time for housekeeping.

No folks…I may be a bachelor living alone, but this NOT my house!  I may be Oscar Madison-ish, but I’m not that bad…quite!

(name that TV show from the 70′s)

OK, let’s recap what you now know about meth labs, and then I’m going to give you a little test to see if you learned anything and were paying attention.

  • At first glance, houses containing a meth lab can look perfectly normal.
  • One outward sign that there is a meth lab in a house is badly stained grass and shrubbery.
  • Inside the house, other than seeing the meth lab itself, you will probably see floor stains resembling the stains in the yard.
  • A house with a meth lab is usually messy on the inside, with little or no effort at housekeeping.

Now, study the following pictures closely, and remembering the above meth lab signs, see if you can pick out the meth lab.  You get extra points if you do not have to refer back to the list of signs I told you to look for.

Let me ask you to do three things while you are poking around the nooks and crannies of JuicyMaters.com:

  • Leave comments!  Let me repeat…leave comments! I ask for beg for comments for a couple of reasons.  First, this blogging thing doesn’t pay very well.  The enjoyment of reading comments, and replying, is my “pay”.  Also, I want you to enjoy JuicyMaters.com and keep coming back.  You can help improve the site by leaving comments.  Tell me what you like and want to see more of…and tll me what you don’t like so much.  Just keep the discussion civil if you wander over into The Dungeon, the political section.  Disagreement is great for discussion, but play nice…it’s MY sandbox.
  • Look over in the right sidebar…see that “Join JuicyMaters” box? Please use it and…join JuicyMaters.  You will get notifications of things like giveaways, new items of interest on the site, and other specials just for newsletter subscribers.
  • Last, but certainly not least…

Have a very VERY Merry Christmas!!!
