Hi folks…I’ve got some news for you folks that first look for new yurt posts, then read all the other stuff.

Since starting this blog in May of 2009, and writing my posts about my yurt journey, a common thread has run through most emails I get from y’all (Curious: Why a lot of emails, but few comments?):

Yurt interior layout…practical considerations

Yurts scream for an open floor plan, but practical concerns want SOME walls for privacy, if nothing else to close off the ultimate private area…the bathroom. Company over for dinner doesn’t usually want to watch folks using it while they eat…LOL.

Beyond the bathroom, a yurt can be as open as you want, and most folks want a completely open design…the round space begs for it, as does the skylight. With that openness comes a few issues that can be dealt with using thought and imagination.

Need MORE evidence of Pacific Yurt quality?

Besides the beauty and livability of my yurt, I found while dealing with the Great Christmas Tree Strike of 2009 (covered in Part 1, here, and part 2, here) that Pacific Yurts are STRONG.

“Surprise, surprise, surprise!” – Gomer Pyle, a Great American

Sub-titled, “It’s about time Bob fixed this place up.”

New visitors to JuicyMaters, first visiting here after 10:00 AM yesterday, might be a bit confused about the subtitle of this post. After all, looking this joint over for the first time you would think JuicyMaters is a pretty nice little blog to visit, right? Well, it is. Now.

For JuicyMaters’ regulars, however, “surprise, surprise, surprise!” was probably a mild reaction, because the place did, indeed, need “fixing up”. It was bad enough that expecting y’all to keep coming back might be called “visitor abuse”…except I don’t consider y’all visitors. You are friends.

Oh sure, if you looked hard enough you could dig out some pretty good information around here, but finding it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. If you ever read something that you wanted to come back to later you are a better (blog) archaeologist than the folks who discovered King Tut’s tomb if you actually found it again.
