Hi folks…I’ve got some news for you folks that first look for new yurt posts, then read all the other stuff.
Since starting this blog in May of 2009, and writing my posts about my yurt journey, a common thread has run through most emails I get from y’all (Curious: Why a lot of emails, but few comments?):
“Bob, your yurt construction posts are great. You ought to write an e-book about how to build a yurt.”
“Thanks for the info Bob. Please give us more.”
“JuicyMaters.com is great, but specific “how-tos” on yurts are kind of scattered all over Yurt Yak. Can you consolidate it for we people who are searching for specific info on how to become yurt type folks? Right now a Google search returns a whole bunch of scattered information that is hard to track down, except for the yurt companies. They seem to dominate the first several pages of any search with the word “yurt” in it.”
And my favorite from two months ago…short and to the point:
“Bob, over a year ago you promised us a DVD or eBook or some other way for to get specific instructions for the DIY-er who wants to build a yurt. We are waiting.”
I got the message.
About a month ago I started putting together a membership site for those folks who are serious about their desire to live a little different than most folks. I will have four membership levels to chose from, depending on your place along the path to yurt-dom.
The site will be up and running, with the first two membership levels active, in about two weeks.
Watch for the site going live in 3 ways:
- A post announcement in the scrolling marquee at the top, like this post has, that will take you to an announcement post telling you how to access the new site.
- A post, again like this one, in the Yurt Yak category just below the JuicyMaters header.
- An e-mail announcement to those folks who are registered members of the JuicyMaters family. If you aren’t yet on our mailing list, look in the sidebar to the right of this post for the “Join JuicyMaters Family” form. You’ll receive information on “happenings” on JuicyMaters…including the new site.
Y’all are more than site visitors…y’all are friends, and are much appreciated. I’m sorry I took so long to respond to your requests for something like this new site.
